Membership Fee Policy and Structure of MIAA

1. Purpose

This Membership Fee Policy is formulated in accordance with Chapter 3 (Membership) and Chapter 12 (Financial Management) of the Charter of the Multinational Investment Alliance Association (MIAA). It establishes a transparent, fair, compliant, and internationally aligned membership fee structure to ensure sustainable operations, professional service delivery, and equitable member benefits.


2. Membership Categories and Fee Structure

All membership fees shall be denominated and paid in United States Dollars (USD). The categories, standards, and benefits are as follows:

3. Payment Method

3.1. All membership fees are payable in United States Dollars (USD). Members shall remit payments via bank transfer or authorized international payment channels to the official MIAA Headquarters account in Melbourne, Australia.

3.2. Lifetime membership fees are one-time payments and are non-refundable.

3.3. Annual membership fees must be renewed before the start of each financial year (by June 30).

3.4. The Secretariat shall issue and archive official tax invoices (Tax Invoices) for all payments received.


4. Referral and Reward Mechanism

4.1. MIAA adopts a transparent referral reward mechanism to encourage membership expansion and active participation.

4.2. Members who successfully refer new members shall receive 20% of the new member’s first-year fee as a referral reward.

4.3. Starting from the sixth referral, the reward rate increases to 30%.

4.4. Referral rewards shall be distributed within 30 days after the new member’s payment confirmation.

4.5. The Secretariat shall maintain accurate records of all referrals to ensure transparency and fairness.


5. Allocation and Application of Membership FeesIn accordance with Article 12.1 of the Charter, all membership fees are to be used exclusively for non-profit purposes consistent with MIAA’s mission. The funds shall be applied to the following areas:

5.1. Education and Training: Development and delivery of professional programs on cross-border investment, entrepreneurship, finance, law, ESG, and related fields.

5.2. Global Conferences and Missions: Organization of the “M20 Multinational Investment Forum”, Industrial City Investment Summits, and government or institutional exchanges.

5.3. Brand Development and Promotion: Maintenance of MIAA’s global brand identity, website, digital platforms, and international communication system.

5.4. Member Services and Research: Operation of project, investment, and talent databases; publication of research reports; provision of consulting and matchmaking services.

5.5. Administration and Operations: Office operations, human resources, IT systems, and management expenses of Headquarters and National Councils.

5.6. Social Responsibility and Development Programs: Promotion of industrial upgrading, job creation, and regional economic growth in developing countries.


6. Compliance and Review

6.1. This policy shall be reviewed every two years by the Secretariat to ensure alignment with international standards and MIAA’s strategic objectives.

6.2. Any revision to membership fee standards or related policies shall require approval by at least two-thirds of the Global Council members and written consent from the Founder before implementation.

6.3. The implementation and financial use of this policy shall be incorporated into the annual audit and reporting system of the Alliance.


7. Effective Date

This Membership Fee Policy and Structure shall come into effect upon the signature of the Founder and ratification by the Global Council.
