Review draft · 25 October 2026 · Not yet effective

This policy explains the proposed handling of personal information through the Multinational Investment Alliance (MIAA) website and related enquiries. The operating entity, service providers and overseas processing locations must be verified before publication.

    1. Information you provide

Website forms and emails may contain your name, email address, organisation, role, country, contact details and enquiry. Project or partnership enquiries may include sector, location, stage and a non-confidential summary. Please provide only information relevant to your request. Do not send passports, bank details, sensitive personal information or confidential project documents through a general enquiry form.

    2. Website and technical information

This website is built with Strikingly. Hosting, security features and embedded third-party services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, access times, pages visited and cookie identifiers. The Cookie Policy explains these technologies. The exact services enabled and their retention periods require confirmation before this draft becomes effective.

    3. Purposes of handling information

Information may be used to respond to enquiries, assess requested introductions, coordinate agreed activities, administer relationships, maintain website security and meet applicable legal obligations. Providing contact details for an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated marketing. Where marketing is sent with the required permission or other lawful basis, a practical opt-out must be provided.

    4. Sharing and introductions

Relevant information may need to be handled by personnel, hosting and communications providers, professional advisers, or authorities where legally required. Before disclosing a personal profile or project contact details to a prospective partner, MIAA should explain the intended recipient and purpose and obtain permission where required. A public enquiry is not permission for unrestricted circulation of your information.

    5. International processing

International introductions and technology providers may involve processing outside Australia. Recipient countries and provider arrangements have not yet been confirmed. Before publication, MIAA must identify likely overseas recipients and countries where practicable, and document the safeguards and legal basis applicable to those disclosures. This draft does not treat website use as consent to unrestricted overseas disclosure.

    6. Security and retention

The proposed approach is to limit access to people who need it, use appropriate access controls and retain information only while needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations or legitimate recordkeeping. Information no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified where lawful. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Actual controls, retention periods and incident procedures must be confirmed.

    7. Access, correction and choices

Email info@mymiaa.com with the subject “Privacy request” to request access or correction, withdraw a permission, opt out of marketing, or ask about deletion. Describe the information involved and provide a safe contact method. Identity may need to be checked proportionately. Requests are subject to applicable law and lawful retention requirements; reasons should be provided where a request cannot be met.

    8. Complaints

Send privacy concerns to info@mymiaa.com with the subject “Privacy complaint”. Explain what happened, relevant dates and the outcome sought. MIAA should acknowledge the complaint and aim to respond within 30 days, advising you if more time is needed. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, where it has jurisdiction, or another relevant regulator.

    9. Changes and contact

Material changes should be reflected in the dated policy and communicated where required. Privacy contact: info@mymiaa.com. Read this policy with the Cookie Policy and Legal Notice. The final operator identity and effective date will be added after verification.
